Overpowering plug-in scent in the hallway creates an unpleasant atmosphere!!! Vanity lighting in the room is insufficient for personal grooming. Room cleanliness could be greatly improved. Towels should be stocked more regularly!!!

great base for exploring nearby parks and natural beauty

Staying here for two nights allowed me to easily explore Cox Hollow Lake and the scenic trails at Governor Dodge State Park, both just a short drive away, making my city strolls all the more enjoyable as I found myself surrounded by nature's beauty and friendly locals. the hotel itself is clean and reasonably priced, perfect for a solo traveler looking for a no-frills, well-run facility.

The room felt a bit cramped, particularly the bathroom. Encountered some pesky earwigs near the pool area, and the parking lot lights were brighter than ideal, making it hard to get a good night's sleep if you're sensitive to light. The coffee in the lobby left a lot to be desired, tasting quite unpleasant. definitely not the ideal way to start the day. The overall cleanliness also could’ve used attention, as a deeper clean would make a significant difference.
